Bio:
Mohammadreza Mirzaei is a Ph.D. student in the History of Art and Architecture department at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Mirzaei's research interests include modern art, twentieth-century Iranian art, and history of photography. He holds an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania and has been active as a photographer and art writer in the Iranian art scene. Mirzaei's photographs have been exhibited extensively in Iran and abroad and his writing has appeared in different magazines such as Herfeh:Honarmand, Kaarnamaa, and Dide. Mirzaei was the curator of the exhibition “The Best Photobooks of All-Time,” which was held at the Sazmanab Center for Contemporary Art in Tehran in 2015.
